DISNEY Trip!!!!!

We just came back from having the most fun and being the most exhausted as we have had and been in a long time. Why? Because we went on a week vacation to Disney World. This was our second real family vacation. We stayed at the Port Orleans resort in the Park. It was so lush and quiet there...really nice. We packed in soooo much in 4 full days and 2 half days. Bucky called me a slave driver, but I just wanted us to see as much of the main attractions as we could strategize and squeeze in! The first day we got to the park, it was quite overwhelming. We watched a parade on main street then headed to Fantasy Land. It seemed so crowded. Didn't people go to work and school ??Who would take their kids out of school to go on vacation?? (oh, we would). the first hour there I spent in the bathroom with Aaron and AnnaBrooke and Bucky spent waiting in line with Brin and Bron for a carnival like ride (dumbo). We did get to go on several of the rides in Fantasy land and Toon town. We all loved the 3D movie! So neat! The kids rode their first rollercoaster that day and loved it. Brinley was apprehensive about every ride, but loved them all...even the roller coasters. Tuesday we went back to the Magic Kingdom and by this time we had our Park legs. We were doing well with getting our fast passes and planning the day so we didn't have to stand in lines. We ate at this really good Italian restaurant, Tony's. We rode Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain! The kids loved them! Tuesday we went back that evening and watched the Spectromagic parade and Fireworks. I have never seen such awesome Fireworks! WoW! Needless to say we were zonked that night, since we didn't leave the Park till 10:30! Poor Aaron was sick with fever. He came down with it the day we got to Disney. Our good friend Dr. Keith called him in some meds and after 2 nights of not sleeping well he got much better.We got to see all the kingdoms. One day Hollywood, the next Animal Kingdom. We saw Epcot the least amount of time. We ate at the place called the Sci Fi in Hollywood studios which was so cool. It was set up like a drive in movie..we ate in cars! We saw the show Fantasmic Friday night at Hollywood Studios. It was sooo incredible. A little intense for AnnaBrooke I think but really awesome! Oh, and the 16 hour drive really was not that bad. We drove 12 hours one day and 4 the next. The kids were really good. I got to read a book most of the time. All I can say is Thankfully we brought the little portable potty. We used it ALOT for AnnaBrooke! I think we are getting paid back for teasing the Burguieres about their boys always having to go to the bathroom! I thought we were going to do a little more around our hotel but there was no time. I did take the kids swimming twice at the pool right by our room, but we never made it to the fun kids pool. I would love to see Downtown Disney next time and more of the resorts. I think it's pretty safe to say that Bucky had a good time since he is looking into joining the Disney Vacation Club!
