Pop's funeral was really nice. Brother Martin, their preacher did a good job, the singers did really well, and Bucky especially did a fantastic job. He wrote a kind of summary of sorts about his dad..how he was as a man and how he was as a dad. It was very sweet. I stood up there with him when he read in case he couldn't get through it all and if he lost his place. I know it was so hard for him to read it, but he did it and did an awesome job. We saw a lot of family and friends that week. It's neat to see how God provides for you through the support of friends and family.
Bucky had to go back to Little Rock after a week to go back to work, but me and the kids stayed another 5 days. Even though there was a ribbon of sadness the wholle time because of losing Pop, we did have some good times there. We got to eat with a group of friends, meet with friends and our kids to swim and play, girls night with a chocolate fountain (Thank you Amanda Leeth!),& sweet times with family. It was hard to come back up to Little Rock...but this is where God has us right now. He will give us the strength we need. I feel like I fail so often as a mother or wife or daughter but I thank GOd for his grace and strength.
