Two weeks in Lake Charles

We just got back a few days ago...well I guess a week ago from visiting in Lake Charles. We were going to just visit and have fun but things didn't turn out like that. Shortly after we got into town late Friday night, Bucky's mom and One of his friends (who was also his dad's doctor) came over to my parent's house. As soon as they saw Bucky and I they said Your dad's gone, Bucky. We were shocked! Bucky literally stumbled backward a bit and looked as though he had just been punched in the stomach. His dad's health had been declining since his surgery in Feb. to remove a tumor, but we did not expect this at all. I guess no one really does expect something like that. He had a heart attack at home earlier Friday evening. It was good that we were already coming home (Lake Charles), but we really wished we could have seen him and hugged him before he went to heaven. And that is the good news...He is in heaven now. He accepted Christ sometime this past year..and he had started reading his bible and going to mens bible study groups. It hits us all hard, but especially Jeanne , Bucky, and Brinley. Brinley gets sad at some point everyday. We know God will get us through each day. We will miss him so much, his sweet spirit.... his big smile..... his big hugs. We miss you Pop!
