Our best friends from Lake Charles came last weekend to visit un in Little Rock for the first time. They have 3 kids =, so with our 4 there were seven children in the house for 3 days! It might sound like craziness, but they were all good. Ofcourse we stayed pretty busty, not altot of down teime to get into trouble. It was a little louder in our house than normal but what can you expect whne you add 2 more boys to the mix? We were so glad they took time out of their busy lives to trek up here 8 hours here and 8 hours back! They must really love us :) Lets see, what did we do first? They came in on a Thursday night and we just stayed around the house. The kids played outsied and I cooked for us. Friday morning we took them to Pinnacle mountain state park and the kids played awhile on the playground there. Kaaren an dI and Brinley, Ben, and Brady , oh and Aaron walked one of the paved trails and the men along with Bronson and Marissa (only 4) climbed partially up Pinacle Mountain. We then went home, ate lunch and let the little ones take a nap. Next we headed to the neighborhood pool for a few hours. It was a fun time! That night 2 babysitters came over to watch all the kiddos and us grown ups went out to eat at this fabulous place called yaya's....so good...my absolute favorite place right now...I could eat there every week! We then headed to Maggie moos for some yummy ice cream. We almost ate a dessert at the restaurant ,but when we asked the waiter's opion (he was a riot) he said he would rather maggie moos! Oh..and while we waited for our table since I didn't think to get reservations..but hery I got 2 babysitters.....Karen and I shopped at the new DSW convenintly located there. We bought the same shoes! We can do that since we live in different cities. Well, the kids survived and the sitters too! In fact all the kids were sleeping when we got home.
Saturday we went to the Discovery Museum downtown and ate at this place called The flying Fish (all the fried food you could want). At the museum we were introduced to a little owl named Tammy and a 2 day old mouse called a pinky.
Saturday night we ventured to playtime pizza...this huge 12,000 square foot place with golf, bowling, laser tag, go carts, bumper cars and arcade games. It was fun but it was so crowded! We lost Steve for a while. It was so loud in there you could not hear your phone ring.
Sunday we all went ot church, came back home and ate lunch and then they headed out. We were all sad to see them go. We can't wait till they come back.....might be a while that 8 hour drive was no picnic for them!
